The PS4’s infamous Blue Light of Death (BLOD), is less of a problem nowadays, but caused many issues when the PlayStation 4 launched. The blue light is a general fault code, so it can be hard to pinpoint what exactly has gone wrong. If your console is within warranty, I’d suggest calling up Sony to get it fixed in the first instance, but if not, you can give the following steps a try and you might get it working again.

The symptoms of the blue light of death are as follows:
- Power indicator pulsing blue
- No video/audio output
- PS4 powering off after pulsing blue light
As I said, it’s hard to pinpoint what exactly is wrong, but these symptoms can indication one of the following:
- A power supply issue.
- A hard drive issue.
- A genera hardware issue.
