If you’ve not heard already, Nintendo recently released a NES Mini Classic console, and it has been very successful. The console includes 30 classic games, which made us wonder what if Sony did the same?
The render below represents what we would expect it to look like. The controller and memory card ports are just decorative and the eject button is replaced with a Bluetooth sync button.
The device would likely be smaller than the controller and it would likely remain wireless, although that would mean that additional games would be digital only. So perhaps the device could be a little bigger to accommodate the original game CDs.
As for the 30 games included, we’d definitely want Metal Gear Solid, Tekken 3, Final Fantasy 7-9, Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, Tomb Raider 1-3, Crash Bandicoot 1-3, the Spyro series, Wipeout 2097 (XL in the US), Gran Turismo 1 and 2 to name only a few.
