Last E3, many said that Microsoft announced the most games in their annual press conference, however Sony also announced a significant amount. Both companies haven’t released the majority of their games announced last year, so below are a set of games that were announced or featured in Sony’s 2013 press conference and are still nowhere near release, the sheer number may surprise you.

  • Destiny (September 9, 2014)
  • Final Fantasy XV
  • Kingdom Hearts III
  • The Dark Sorcerer – AKA Quantic Dream next game
  • The Order: 1886 (Q1 2015)
  • The Witness
  • Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee / New n Tasty (Q2 2014)
  • Ray’s the Dead
  • Secret Ponchos
  • Mad Max
  • Elder Scrolls Online (Plus exclusive PS4 Beta) (November/December 2014)
  • Batman: Arkham Knight
  • Galak-Z

That is a total of 13 games (though Dark Sorcerer may have nothing to do with Quantic Dream’s next project), and we didn’t include the number of promised games for the Vita that were unnamed in this collection. However, some of the games that did see the light of day that appeared on the conference and were actually released before this year’s press conference, are listed below:

  • Octodad: Dadliest Catch
  • Mercenary Kings
  • Batman Arkham Origins
  • Don’t Starve
  • The Last of Us
  • Rain
  • Beyond: Two Souls
  • Gran Turismo 6
  • Killzone Mercenary
  • Tearaway
  • God of War
  • Final Fantasy X and X-2
  • Flower
  • Dead Nation
  • The Walking Dead
  • Destiny of Spirits
  • Doki-Doki Universe

A total of 17 were released which is quite shocking that almost 44% of the announced titles are still unknowns to some degree. This breakdown makes it quite clear that you shouldn’t get over enthused for games shown at a press conference as it could be 2 years before you can play it, if not more (The Last Guardian).
