CD Projekt RED’s highly anticipated The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be quite an open game according to the developers. The story is reportedly very non-linear, similar to what you can expect from the Mass Effect games, and most of the narrative choices and decisions made in the game will affect the outcome of the story. Michal Platkow-Gilewski, head of PR and marketing for the firm said in OPM:
If you’re talking about non-linearity, we should distinguish two aspects: one is story-wise (the choices and consequences) and the other is the openness of the world.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt looks like it might be able to satisfy those who’ve come to expect a lot of openness in RPGs due to games like Skyrim, and we can’t wait to get our hands on it. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is scheduled for release in February 2015 on PlayStation 4, Xobx One and PC.
