It’s probably safe to say that Fallout 4 is one of the most anticipated games that is coming out this year, and with only a few weeks left till the megaton that is Fallout 4 drops, PlayStationing has decided to try and help gamers on their way with the game by listing a few of the perks you should try and avoid. If you’ve never played Fallout before, Perks are essentially little stat boosters that you can pick every time you level-up (or after a few levels). Of course, we can’t promise that these perks will be in the game, and the perk poster image that Bethesda has released is a little vague, but if they are, it’s best to avoid them, and we’ll explain why.
5. Retention – Skill magazines last for 3 real-time minutes
This perk appears in Fallout: New Vegas and means that the skill magazines that you get, which are one use items, will last longer. It’s not a completely useless perk, but it’s one you can easily live without because the amount of skill magazines you pick up will always be finite. So avoid this one and choose a perk that might help you in more situations.
4. Meltdown – Foes killed by your Energy Weapons emit a corona of harmful energy
This skill appears in Fallout: New Vegas and means that enemies that you kill with energy weapons will explode, and damage nearby enemies as well. Sounds good, but it also damages your companions. So is more of a hindrance a lot of the time, we’d avoid if we were you.
