Ubisoft have already announced that Watch Dogs is their most pre-ordered new IP ever, but they’re also targeting over 6 million sales for the game. CEO Yves Guillemot mentioned during a company financial call, that Ubisoft would like to sell 6.3 million copies of the game, and that the sales goal was set based on the success of the first Assassin’s Creed game. This seems like quite a tame goal considering the game will be available on 5 platforms at launch, so I’d more than expect them to exceed this goal depending on how well it reviews.
There has been some discussion around the change in graphical quality of the title from the first time it was shown, but most news outlets have mentioned that the decrease in quality was expected as the original trailer was shown running on a very high-end PC. Watch Dogs will be available on May 27 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
