Playing this with a group of friends is the best way to experience WWZ and to get the most out of it. Unfortunately, the game itself struggles to add much variety to the mix. The story is incredibly dull, the shooting is lacklustre and the missions involve either defending your position or moving from point A to B. I found myself struggling to get through the campaign despite how short it was simply because the game is so repetitive as each stage is basically the same, but in a different environment.

The characters you play are also quite dull, they have no personality and all behave the same. You can upgrade people to behave the way you want, but personally I struggled to see why I would continue to replay the game more than once.

Shooter fans may have some interest in the game, especially those who have a consistent group of friends they play online with. Everyone else would be better to avoid this title, it may be worth waiting for a discount or for it to come to the PlayStation Plus selection at some point in the future.
