A recent unboxing video from Austin Evans finally showed us both next generation controllers photographed together for the first time. From screen grabs of this video we were able to get some very close size comparisons between the two.
After the scaling there is a small amount of room for error due to lens distortion. But I removed the background and straightened the controllers out.
It is quite clear that the PS5’s DualSense controller is in a league of its own when it comes to size. The width is greater than that of the Xbox Series X controller. And looking closer the buttons are spread wider. This is like due to make room for the touchpad though.
The final image i raised the opacity of the DualSense to show you a different view of it.
It won’t be long for us to get our hands on the controller, expect a review on our site at the UK launch date.
