The Last of Us Part II Gameplay and Release Date

Sequel to one of the best games of the last generation, from one of the best developers in the world. Sony announced this with a teaser trailer last year showing a more grown up Ellie and aging Joel. The Last of Us Part II is definitely appearing at E3 2017, but I’m not quite sure we’ll see an exact release date.

Likelihood: 100% (gameplay), 75% (release date)

Sucker Punch New Game Announcement

Sucker Punch has been quiet for almost 3 years now, their last big game was inFamous: Second Son, and also the expansion, First Light. Whether they announce a new inFamous, or a new IP entirely, we think it’s happening this E3.

Likelihood: 75%

Shenmue 3 Gameplay

This game was announced for a Kickstarter in 2015, so you think it’d be ready in some form by E3 2017, but that doesn’t look to be the case. The developers said, “while our schedule has yet to be finalized, we will be devoting June to game development and as a result, will unfortunately not be participating in any game shows.” However, that doesn’t rule out the possibility of a surprise appearance.

Likelihood: 10%

Final Fantasy VII Remake Gameplay

This was also announced at E3 2015, and until very recently was in development by CyberConnect2, but this development has now moved in-house to Square Enix. That sounds like the game might be in development hell, but I’ve got high hopes for this one (that will probably be dashed, after all it is Square Enix *sigh*).

Likelihood: 50%
